With the zipperHQ Chrome extension, users can easily choose to record their screen, webcam or both! Once videos are recorded, you can send your videos out via email, text message or social media!
Here’s a quick video showing you how you can use start screen recording with the zipperHQ Chrome Extension
Follow these simple instructions to get started!
1. Make sure you have the zipperHQ Google Chrome extension installed and that you’re logged into your account.
a. Find the extension by clicking on the puzzle icon in the upper right hand corner of your web address bar.
b. If not already, you can pin the zipperHQ Chrome Extension so you never have to search for it again! The zipperHQ icon will remain next to your address bar.
2. Click on the zipperHQ icon in the upper right hand corner of your web address bar. You’ll be given two options to either record ‘Screen Only’ or ‘Screen Plus Camera.’
a. Screen Only
i. Use this option to record just your screen. If you have multiple monitors, you will be prompted to choose which you prefer.
ii. Once you hit ‘Start Recording’ the screen recorder will record everything going on within your chosen screen AND your microphone.
iii. Once finished, hit the red STOP icon in the bottom left corner to finish recording.
b. Screen Plus Camera
i. Use this option to record a video of yourself alongside your screen; select your preferred screen if you have multiple monitors.
ii. Once finished, hit the red STOP icon in the bottom left corner to finish recording.
3. Once you hit the red STOP icon, you will be redirected to your zipperHQ video dashboard and be able to view your video. From there, you can share/embed your videos and edit any details such as the title of your video!
4. You can also see a drop down list of videos under the ‘Videos’ tab of the zipperHQ chrome extension after clicking the zipperHQ icon.
a. To review recorded videos, login to www.zipperhq.com. From there, you can view videos you’ve created and share/embed your videos anywhere!
